Quackery in the state health sector will no longer be tolerated by the state government.
State Health Commissioner, Dr Josephat Akabuike who made this known while speaking with ABS correspondent, Nneka Ibe-Anoliefo, said government will close down any health facility found wanton while any doctor involved in unethical conduct will be made to face the law.
Dr Akabuike said his Ministry plans to embark on recertification of health facilities in the state with a view to weeding off fakes.
Commissioner Akabuike commended Governor Willie Obiano for signing the primary health care development agency Bill into law and assured that with the seventeen boat ambulances, six speed boats and renovation of sixty-three primary health care centres in three senatorial zones of the state, the health care needs of people in hard to reach areas and others will be met.
