Total deregulation will save the country from the current crisis in the petroleum sector – Chief G. Okafor

A Lagos based Industrialist, Chief Godwin Okafor, says only total deregulation will save the country from the current crisis in the petroleum sector.
Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Chief Okafor, called on the federal government to privatize all its refineries to be managed by Individuals while the government will be playing supervisory role.
He said that privatizing the Nation’s refineries, at Kaduna, Port-Harcourt  and Warri will ensure optimum performance.
Chief Okafor who is also a community leader in Isuofia,  Aguata local government area canvassed for the issuance of licence to private individuals to  build Mini refineries in the country to ensure available of  petroleum products and at affordable price.  
He said that the current hike in the pump price of petrol is seriously threatening the growth of indigenous firms.
