Budget is a strategy and political tool govt. uses to function – Dr Nwaogwugwu

Following the signing of this year’s appropriation bill of over six trillion naira, into law by President Muhammadu Buhari, an associate Professor of Economics with the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Dr. Uche Nwaogwugwu said budget is a strategy and political tool government uses to function globally. Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Dr. Nwaogwugwu, maintained that this year’s budget even though signed late, must definitely impact positively on the nation’s economy.
Dr. Nwaogwugwu pointed out that economic activities in the country will kick start in earnest with the signing of the budget and appealed to the Federal Government to ensure full implementation of the budget as the nation’s economy has been stagnated for a very long time.
On the issue of the Fulani herdsmen, raging havoc in some parts of the country, the University Don called for caution and respect for one another on the issue, saying that no one has the right to destroy another person’s property under any guise.
