The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA’s fishing net, over the weekend, caught a giant convert as a business magnet, Prince Uche Oduche, declared support for Governor Willie Obiano’s administration and second term bid.
It set out to be a cultural event but turned political, recording a flocking of major APGA stakeholders in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia and Njikoka who played host to the state, Ionized by the party’s candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial election and member of its Board Of Trustees, Chief Victor Umeh as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor, on Political Matters, Mr Chinedu Obidigwe while the U-AYA praise band supplied interludes of musical rendition.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Umeh, who attended in company of his wife, asked all to heed Governor Obiano’s clarion call to go back to Agriculture to ensure food security, warning that hunger stares the country in the face.
When he took turn to address the event, the Adviser on Political Matters, Chinedu Obidigwe, described the day as a divine one in which APGA achieved Victory in Dunukofia.
He said that APGA leadership brought peace and security to the state, urging the people not to be deceived by desperadoes but to support the Governor’s second term bid to avail him the opportunity to fulfill his vision for the state.
He punctuated his speech with songs.
Earlier while declaring his support for APGA, the new convert, Prince Uche Oduche, said he and his group took the decision to join the moving train and pitch tent with the party because of the many successes the Obiano administration achieved within two years.
The event got to its peak with the handover of APGA flag to the new convert by Chief Umeh and singing of APGA anthem.
