Governor Willie Obiano has called on ndi Anambra resident in Abia to utilize their enterprising and resourceful nature to the advantage of Anambra, their homr State.

Governor Obiano made the call at the Anambra Day Cultural Celebration, held at the Enyimba FC International Stadium, Aba.
The event organized by the Association of Anambra State Development Unions in Aba, was indeed a culture fiesta as thousands of Ndi Igbo of Anambra extraction, drawn from all Anambra Communities, throng out to exhibit their rich cultural heritage such as display of different masquerades and dance performances.


Governor Obiano who renewed the call on the importance of imbibing the think home philosophy, called on them to always ensure to bring some of their resource home.
While stressing that things are far better in Anambra, unlike most places in the Country, the Governor enumerated some of the developmental strides of his administration in all sectors o the State economy, including breakthrough in security, prompt payment of salary, increased revenue generation, ongoing agricultural revolution among others.
Governor Obiano, represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke revealed that in keeping with his promise to construct roads after the rains, state government is presently embarking on massive road projects across Communities in the State to ease their transportation burden, especially during the forthcoming festive period.
He called on them to continue to pray for the success of his administration, as he is highly committed to making life better for citizens and residents in the State, both at home and the diaspora.
In his speech, the President of Association of Anambra State Development Unions, Aba Dr S.C. Okolo, said that the celebration is necessary for Anambra residents in Aba to pride in their roots.
The Chairman on the Occassion, Chief Gregory Obi harped on the need for people to always celebrate their heritage, calling on them to often remember to help develop their home States.
Unveiling of the 400 million Naira Anambra House by the Governor, formed the highpoint of the event.
