No Earmarked Project Has Been Abandoned – Mrs Obiano

The wife of the state Governor, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano says that the present administration has not abandoned any earmarked project of its predecessors contrary to perceptions from some quarters of the state, and maintained that the APGA government in the state is strongly built on continuity policy.

The wife of the Governor made this clarification at Umudioka, Umunnachi and Ifite-dunu all in Dunukofia Local Council Area as she continued her tour of the one hundred and seventy nine communities in the state.
Speaking at Umudioka, the Governor’s wife reiterated that the essence of the community tour is to come nearer to the people and understand more of their needs and plights for immediate attention.
She stated that she also intends to interact with the less privileged and give them some Christmas gifts thereby giving them  a sense of belonging in the society, and to let Ndi Anambra be abreast of the happenings and transformations going on in the state since the present administration came on board.
Earlier in a welcome address, the woman leader of Umudioka Community, Mrs. Amaka Ikwuka, expressed gratitude to God for blessing Anambra state with a hard working Governor in the person of Chief Willie Obiano and his wife, stressing that it is only God that can reward them for their service to humanity.
Also at Umunnachi and Ifitedunu, the Governor’s wife highlighted some of the giant strides made in the education sector which include but not limited to the construction of over three hundred and ten new classroom blocks in the primary and post primary schools in the state.
She also explained that the need for the drastic reduction in the number of mad men and women roaming the streets of major cities in the state, is because the state now has a rehabilitation centre where they were taken to for care adding that that in all, over eighty mad people were taken there and about half of them have been rehabilitated.                           
In a vote of thanks, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Victoria Chikwelu who is from Umunnachi, thanked the Governor’s wife for all her good works through Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE) where numerous women and youths have been empowered,  while the woman leader of Ifitedunu, Mrs Caroline Nkeiruka, appreciated Governor Obiano for his laudable achievements, especially the twenty million naira community chose your project initiative and prompt payment of workers salaries.
