The Anambra state House of Assembly committee on works has directed the construction firm handling Iyiora Anam\ Nzam Road and bridge project to expedite action .
The committee made the call while inspecting the project as part of their oversight responsibilities.
When the committee arrived the site, it was observed that work was in progress as the construction firm had almost sand filled the road paving way for the next stage.
The committee also expressed satisfaction with the quality of work executed so far, particularly on the Iyiora number one bridge.
The chairman House committee on works, Dr Ikechukwu Umeh explained that the seven point eighty –eight Kilometer road is very strategic with economic benefits because it connects the oil rig
The project manager Mr Tony Nasa assured the committee that the project will be completed on schedule as government has fulfiled its own part of the agreement reached.
