Activities marking Governor Willie Obiano’s three years in office today kicked off with tour of projects in the state by media personnel representing various media outfits across the country.

Before the journey commenced, executives of various ministries, Departments and Agencies engaged the journalists in a more than three hours discussions on the programmes and prospects of the government these past years.
Our correspondent Ngozi Obileri who was part of the discussion reports that the forum served as a projector to various sites that awaits the journalists.
Taking the lead on the forum was the Commissioner for Information and Communication strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta who highlighted the agenda of the Willie Obiano administration from the inception, talking bout his pillars of development that brought about institution of ANSIPPA, to drive the state’s economy and Awka Capital Territory Development Authority saddled with the responsibility of introducing structures that would give the capital city a befitting look.
Ogbuefi Nnachetta whose speech was more of introduction explained that the present administration has worked very hard and has achieved quite a lot, added that a lot still need to be done that requires collective efforts.
The Managing Director Anambra State Investments Protection and Promotion Agency Chief Joe Billy Ekwunife explained the activities of ANSIPPA as a one stop shop where details on activities involved in investments into various sectors are handled within a short period of time.
Chief Ekwunife said that so far, the state has an agreement with fourty investors, signed memoranda of understanding with thirty four companies both foreign and indigenous where work has commenced at various stages on twenty, six approved but yet to be signed by exco and fourteen about to kick off.
He listed some of the companies that have taken off to include Cosharis rice farm at Anaku, Joseph Agro at Ufuma, Del farm, Lyden farm both at Igbariam ,Evan, Rockland, Topwide ventures among others.
Others who spoke at the event were the Managing Director Asks Capital Territory Development Authority Mr Mike Okonkwo who said that the agency is working round the clock in redesigning and restructuring Awka capital city with the concept of building a cosmopolitan city with excellent infrastructure.
On his part, the commissioner for road construction, furniture and maintainance Mr Lawrence Chinwuba added that building on the four Cs of continuation,completion, commission and commencement of the state government in road construction, roads are being done in all the three senatorial districts ,noting that the introduction of Anambra State Road Maintainance Agency was to ensure the longevity of all the roads since Anambra having the best network of roads cannot afford to loose such roads to pot holes or total collapse.
