Culture have been described as a major income earner when maximized as Ojiofor festival is celebrated in grand style. According to correspondent report the maiden edition of Oji- Ofor festival is celebrated to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Adazi- Ani and Igbo land in general as well as serve as an interface to sell creative works of art to the international community. Chief Emeka Morocco Mmaduka thrilling the audience with his Egwu Ekpiri specialThe event which held at the Ojiakor Memorial Grammar School Adazi-Ani, attracted popular masquerade and dance groups in Anambra state including Mkpokiti Umunze, Akatamkpo Umuoji, Ajaofia Abatete, Ajaofia Adazi- Enu, Jideofor Nnewi, Ezumezu Umuoji,Ikolo Dance Group, Izaga, Ijele and numerous others. Chief Emeka Morocco Mmaduka, the Eze Egwu ekpiri crooner, was also at hand to add colour to the event. The event also featured exhibition of different works of art that tell the story of Igbo people and culture as well as a display of local dishes. In an interview with newsmen, the convener of the festival, Dr Emeka Okeke, stated that the event will help to promote the cultural values of the Igbo people, open the doors of the state to cultural tourism, as well as serve as an avenue for the Igbo people to tell their stories by themselves. The event had in attendance the member representing Anaocha One Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Chief Azubuike Okoye, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local government area, Mr Ikeobi Ejiofor, a transportation industry mogul, Sir G.U.O. Okeke and numerous other dignitaries.
