More than one thousand teachers from secondary schools in the State will today receive training on how to combat drug abuse and trafficking in the society.

The teachers are expected to complement the efforts of the Drug Free Clubs in their various schools as part of measures to fight drug abuse and peddling in post primary schools.
The State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mr Sule Momodu who disclosed this during an ABS Radio audience participatory programme, NDLEA and You, maintained that the training will go a long way in stepping up the fight against drug abuse among the youths.
He commended the State government for its support in the ongoing fight to eliminate drug trafficking, saying that the Obiano administration understands that eliminating drug peddling is paramount to the fight against crime.
