The Presiding Bishop of the National Holy Ghost Church of Christ, Onitsha Provincial Headquarters, Dr Christian Ikechukwu Benson says showing appreciation is the bedrock of Christianity.
Speaking during a special thanksgiving service organized in his honour at the Awada branch of the Church, Bishop Benson, said of the nine lepers that were asked to go and show themselves to their priests, only one that came back to show appreciation had a permanent healing.
The presiding Bishop advised Christians to always imbibe the culture of thanking God for his mercies, favour and good work upon their lives.
Also speaking, the Guest speaker, Evangelist Emeka Nmuo, whose topic centered on winning the battle of life, said that battle is what one cannot do without in life adding that what makes a man relevant is the battle he fights and wins at the end.
Earlier, the coordinator of Dorcas Foundations International, Evangelist Nkechi Ogudo Mbanugo said that God has not given his children the spirit of fear and timidity adding that he that has Jesus must definitely be bold as a lion.
The event featured, sing songs, testimonies, special renditions by the central choir of the church and thanks giving.
