Youths have been urged to tap into the expanding opportunities in the on-going Agricultural revolution across the state.

Speaking in Awka, an industrialist, Chief Emma Onyebuchukwu said this would enable them to become self reliant and achieve their life aspirations.

Chief Onyebuchukwu noted that Governor Willie Obiano administration has provided viable platform to tackle the challenge of Youth unemployment and pointed out that massive youths involvement in agricultural activities would accelerate efforts towards diversifying the national economy to relieve the country the burden of mono-economy.

He explained that the wide agricultural value chain which has already attracted huge investment in the state, if well harnessed would fast tract industrial development which would in turn create more employment opportunities for youths.

Chief Onyebuchukwu noted that Agriculture as a major policy thrust of Governor Obiano’s administration has achieved the target of self sufficiency in rice production as Anambra Rice brand is fast gaining market in Nigeria and beyond while the state export of vegetables is fast gaining international recognition.

He urged Youths to form cooperation societies to enable them easily access various empowerment schemes of the state government.
