Ichie Livinus Chima Oriuzu Uzoh was born on March 26, 1946 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Uzoaru of Ndikokwu, Umuaku village, Uli in Ihiala Local Government Area. Livinus was the only child of his parents.

He started his education at Central School, Uli and later, Abbot Secondary School, Ihiala in 1965. Thereafter, he went to Alvan Ikoku College of Education, where he obtained Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1971. He was immediately appointed to teach at Ngwa High School. To further his education, Chima enrolled into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he bagged a degree in Zoology/Education and Master’s Degree in Education Administration and Planning.
Chima Oriuzu Livinus Uzoh, also known as C.O.L, fell in love with an elegant woman, Mrs. Justina Adaure Uzoh (Nee Ejiawoko) and married her in 1976. The marriage was blessed with five children, three males and two females.
He is a Member, British Institute of Management; Member, American Institute of Management; Associate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management and Member, Nigeria Institute of Executive Secretaries and Administrators. He was the Registrar, Anambra State Polytechnic, Oko (now Federal Polytechnic, Oko); Chief Inspector of Higher Education, Anambra State; Acting Director/Zonal Inspector of Education, Onitsha Zone; Director of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Awka.
Equally, Chief Sir Chima Oriuzu Livinus Uzoh was the Sole Administrator and Chairman, Nnewi South Local Government and later in 1998, was made Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government, Political and Chieftaincy Matters. In the same year, he was appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Anambra State. As a Permanent Secretary, he also served in Ministries of Education, Works, Lands, BPU, and Civil Service Commission. He was also a Member Governing Councils of Ehamufu College of Education; Anambra State University of Science and Technology Enugu (now ESUT); Council, Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu; Anambra State College of Education, Awka and Nwafor Orizu College of Education; Nsugbe.
Others are: member, Governing Councils of Anambra State Polytechnic (now Federal Polytechnic, Oko); Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; Anambra State University of Science and Technology, Uli; Member, Anambra State Library Board; Member, Adult and Non- Formal Education Board and Chairman, National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Board, Anambra State.
He also carried out Executive Assignments as Chairman, Task Force on declining male enrollment in Anambra state; Deputy Chairman, Investigation Committee; Chairman, Implementation Committee, Ichie Orijiako Memorial Foundation Scholarship Awards, Uli; Technical Director, Uli Community Bank; Secretary, Transition Committee on the handover of the Anambra State Government by Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju to Dr. Chris Ngige). He was a one-time President-General, Uli Progressive Union.
Chief Chima Oriuzu Livinus Uzoh was honoured with two distinct awards: Man of the Year and Distinguished Leadership Award, by the American Biographical Institute Inc. Board of International Research-North Carolina. U.S.A. Okaomee was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knight of Saint Mulumba (KSM).
Though, he had a protracted illness but we are consoled that he died peacefully. We pray that God Almighty will receive his soul with kindness and love. Amen. Left to mourn him are: Messrs Uzochukwu, Ifeanyichukwu and Tochukwu Uzoh (sons), Barrister Onyinyechukwu Uzoh, and Engineer Ifeyinwa Uzoukwu (daughters). Chijioke Uzoukwu (son-in-law); Messrs Ebele and Maria Uzoh (daughters-in-law), grand children and other numerous relations.
Wake keep holds today at his country home, number one Uzoharu Street Ndikokwu, opposite Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church. Tomorrow, by 10am, there will be funeral mass at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Uli, while outing mass holds in the same church on Sunday, May 20, 2018 by 9am. Adieu Dad!
