The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC says it has no plan to increase the pump price of kerosene, as being speculated across the country.
The Group General Manager Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Mr Ndu Ughamadu disclosed this in an interview with the ABS.
Mr Ughamadu maintained that the Corporation has directed all its refineries to ensure improved production of kerosene in order to meet the demands of consumers.
He said that the NNPC will continue to offer quality services to the people and called on Marketers of petroleum products, to desist from acts capable of causing more pains to the people.
The NNPC spokesman who disclosed that the Corporation is always having meetings with Independent Petroleum Marketers, on ways to improve their services, announced that the NNPC has concluded plans to establish more outlets across the country for efficiency.
Mr Ughamadu, while reaffirming the determination of the Corporation to ensure seamless supply of petrol across the country, used the opportunity to warn consumers against keeping petrol in residential buildings reminding them of the consequences.
