Anambra State Government says it would do everything possible to ensure good living standard and comfort of people affected by flood in all the designated holding centres across the State.
The State Deputy Governor, Dr Nken Okeke, gave the assurance at the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, office in Awka while inspecting the relief materials supplied by the federal government through the National Emergency management agency, NEMA,. Dr Okeke commended the Federal Government for its timely intervention. and assured the affected persons that the State Government is ready to provide succor to them and promised that the materials will be evenly and justifiably distributed among them.
The Executive Secretary, SEMA, Chief Paul Odenigbo, said the Agency has started the distribution of relief materials to the holding centres.
He commended Governor Willie Obiano for ensuring that the flood persons affected by the flood do not lack in any way .
The Deputy Governor was earlier conducted round the warehouse by the Executive Secretary, SEMA,Chief Odenigbo, the Executive Director SEMA, Honourable Cyril Agupugo and Executive Assistant to the Governor on SEMA, Mr Emeka Obinwa.
