Flood has submerged all the villages in Akili Ogidi Community in Ogbaru Local Government Area.

Reports from the area said buildings, farmlands, schools, health centers, hospitals, markets and other social facilities worth hundreds of millions of naira have gone under the water while all the access roads to the area have been flooded.
Reacting to the disaster, a community leader in the area and former Chairman Ogbaru Local Government Council, Chief Victor Agolue said the devastation also claimed lives of many livestocks adding that there is no longer any source of drinking water in the area.
Chief Agolue also said that they no longer have access to healthcare and other social services in the community.
He urged the Federal government to increase its intervention to the state as the number of communities and people affected by the flood is increasing by the day noting that other parts of Ogbaru are equally being devastated by the menace.
