Wife of the Governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has described her husband, Governor Willie Obiano as a role model with exceptional innate qualities.

The Governor’s wife was speaking during the 2018 Literacy Festival and celebration of her book: “The Child, The Boy, The Man, Willie Obiano: An Intimate Biography,” in Awka.

The event, with the theme “Effective and Efficient Literacy across the School Curriculum: LEAP Learning Centered Approach to the Rescue,” was organized by the Literacy Enhancement and Achievement Project (LEAP) of the State Ministry of Basic Education and the Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN)

Reading few paragraphs from page fifty-one of the book, which recollected her first acquaintance with the governor, Mrs Obiano said her husband had beamed distinctive picture of a devoted and easy-going man, right from their first meeting.

She noted that the book is a reminder of what Governor Willie Obiano stands for, as a husband, father and public figure, adding that beneath his exterior qualities lie a tender heart and patient personality.

The State Head of Service, Barrister Harry Uduh in hisremarks said the book was a handy resort for contemporary marital society, commending the Governor’s Wife’s deep insight as reflected in the pages of the book.

Earlier, the organizer of the event and Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, stated that the contents of the book treat both cultural and societal lapses, noting that it goes beyond everyday biography.

The RAN President, Mrs. Irene Mbanefo, in her opening remark, said the body’s assessment of the book was applaudable as it does not only celebrate milestones but highlights key ideas for a better family.

Speaking on the inherent lessons of the biography, the Executive Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa, said the book is a must-read for everyone as it contains vital revelations to a dream society.

Highlights of the event were acitation on the Governor, recitations from the book, award presentations to best teachers and pupils in the state, as well as other eye-catching performances by school pupils.
