Okechukwu Osadebe, son of the late highlife maestro, Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe, was yesterday lost to the ragging flood that has continued to devastate communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area.
The 18 year old Okechukwu was swept away by the flood in Atani, late last night but his body was found this morning.
According to the desseased mother, Mrs. Amaechi Osadebe, Okey as he was fondly called was in company of two persons when the flash flood swept him with no opportunity to swim out of danger as the current was too strong and turbulent.
The Ogbaru local government Chairman, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu, who was at the family house this morning to sympathize with the Osadebe’s family, regretted the losses the flood has inflicted on the people of the Local Government Area and urged the people to remain safety conscious , assuring that the flood situation would soon be over , stressing that caution should be the watchword for every resident as the flood lasts.
