About one hundred and fifty two candidates have received sacrament of confirmation at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church Alor in Idemili South Council area.

The sacrament of confirmation was administered on them by the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Catholic Archdiocese, Most Reverend Dennis
Isizo during his pastoral visit to the Church.

During the Pontifical High Mass to mark the visit, the candidates appeared in dazzling white clothes with lighted candles .

In a homily centered on Prayer, Bishop Isizor said that God relates to Christians through prayers which underlines the need for regular prayer.

Most Reverend Isizor stated that Christ made it possible for Christians to petition to God freely without any hindrance or obstacle and listed ways to petition to God for immediate answer.

The Prelate encouraged parents to root their children in Christ, raise them up according to Gods directive and the tenets of the Church, stating that when good morals are inculcated in them, the society will be a better place.

Most Reverend Isizor charged the candidates to be soldiers of Christ,
avoid immorality and always reflect the light of God in their daily activities, adding that they should always pray for forgiveness and go for confession whenever they go astray.

The Vicar of the Church, Very Reverend Father Dr Martain Onukwuba said that the visit was of great importance as so many souls have been converted , charging the newly confirmed to always wear the amour of good conduct and win souls for Christ as his foot soldiers.
