Nigeria’s interest in this year CAF organised club competition ended a while ago after Raja Casablanca 2-1 win over Enyimba which sent the Nigerian team crashing out of the tournament.
Raja qualified for the final on a 3-1 aggregate win after beating Enyimba 1-0 in Aba three weeks ago in the first leg tie of the semi-final encounter, a scoreline they almost threw away today at home.

A momentary loss of concentration from Enyimba’s centre back Isiaka Oladuntoye gifted Raja the only goal of the game after the big defender was caught in possession by the mask wearing Zakaria Hadraf, who also scored the lone goal in Aba.

Oladuntoye’s poor day was compounded with less than two minutes to the end of the game when he put the ball into his own net in his bid to cut out a cross from the right.

Substitute Abdulrahman Bashir rifled home an unstoppable drive from the edge of Raja box to pull a goal back for Enyimba with a minute to go before the end of regulation time but it was a little too late as Raja hanged on to seal a 2-1 win and a spot in the final.
