The President, State Council of Traditional Prime Ministers, Chief Anthony Enukeme, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to embark on aggressive voter education on proper ways of voting, to reduce invalid votes during elections.
Speaking to the ABS at Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area, on the issue of increasing rate of invalid votes during elections, Chief Enukeme said that only proper and continuous enlightenment by INEC
will solve most of the nation’s electoral problems including voter apathy.
He called on the electorate to always take active part in the nation’s electoral processes, reminding them of the need to obtain their permanent Voter Cards to enable them exercise their franchise during the 2019 general elections.
Chief Enukeme who is also an industrialist used the opportunity to call on the federal government to always embark on those programmes
that will improve the living standards of the people in addition to boosting businesses, for the speedy growth of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP.
He advised Ndi Anambra to see the development of the state as a collective responsibility.
