The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will take delivery of sensitive components for the enhancement of the Smart Card Readers, by the first week of December.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, disclosed this in Abuja, over the weekend.
Giving update on the Commission’s readiness for 2019 general election, Professor Yakubu, who did not give further details on where the
materials would be supplied, however, clarified the controversy surrounding the election budget.
Professor Yakubu also clarified issues on the election budget, noting that the National Assembly has passed the budget and the INEC budget is one hundred and eighty-nine point two billion naira.
