As part of the efforts to maintain  free flow of
traffic during the festive period especially in the major cities, the Enugwu-Ukwu Community Development Union has trained and equipped over thirty able bodied men, known as ECDU Traffic Marshalls

The one week training  was adjudged a success by the community leaders as no one was injured during the exercise.

The training  involved both physical and mental exercises as members of Anambra Traffic Management Agency and the Federal Road Safety corps fully participated in the exercise.

It was initiated and organized by the Town Union Governing Council of Enugwu-Ukwu community.

Speaking during the closing ceremony at Enugwu-ukwu Civic center, the President General of Enugwu-Ukwu Community Development Union, Comrade Bonny Ozo- Nkwuaku narrated the ordeal road users face during Christmas season, on the Enugwu-Ukwu major roads and other cities within Anambra state and explained that their aim was to complement the efforts of the State Traffic Agency and the Federal Road Safety Corps in  maintaining free flow of traffic within the state especially in their community Enugwu-ukwu.

Comrade Ozo -Nkwuaku  charged the  volunteers to use their position positively for the benefit of Enugwu-Ukwu and Anambra
in general and  called on other communities, especially those with high flow of traffic, to follow their footsteps for the good of all.

The Managing Director Anambra Traffic Management Agency, Mr. Chris Uzoechina while addressing the Enugwu-Ukwu Community Traffic Marshalls, assured of their full support and cooperation to help them achieve their goals and urged them to  be law abiding and discharge their duties in accordance with the traffic rules and regulations.

Mr. Uzoechina further appreciated the leaders of Enugwu-Ukwu community for the innovation as according to him such community traffic control system has never existed in the state.
