Obiano Reassures On Promotion Of Quality Education

Governor Willie Obiano has reiterated the commitment of his administration to creating a conducive environment for enhanced
teaching and learning across all cadres of education in the State.
Speaking at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University during the Ninth convocation ceremonies of the institution at its campus in Igbariam Governor Obiano who maintained that education in Nigeria
needs serious attention urged the people of the State both at home and in the diaspora to synergize with the State government in making the university a world class institution in both learning and research.
Governor Obiano commended the University Management for their efforts so far especially the advancement being made at the Medical School of the Institution.
In a remark, a new Chancellor of the University Oba Rufus Adejugbe Aladesanmi the third, canvassed for total upgrade of the Nation’s educational yearnings including adequate funding of the sector.
Earlier in an address the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Gregory Nwakoby thanked the State government for its support to the University and called for employment of more teaching and non-teaching staff in the area.
