The misunderstanding which arose among members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency after the recent primaries of the party has been effectively resolved.

This is as a result of a reconciliatory joint meeting between APGA
faithful in Onitsha North and South Local Government Areas at Fegge.

The meeting which was at the instance of the Caretaker Chairmen of the two Local Government counycils, Messrs Emeka Asoanya and Patrick Agha-Mba, was attended by the House of Representatives candidate of APGA for Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Patrick Obianwu and other party Stalwarts in the two local government areas.

In his remark, Chief Obianwu expressed happiness that most party faithful have responded positively to the clarion call of Governor Willie Obiano for APGA to forge a common front ahead of the 2019 general elections in the country.

Chief Obianwu pledged not to relent in his efforts to placate members of the party who were aggrieved over the outcome of the recent APGA primaries.

For their part, the chairmen of both local government areas, Messrs Asoanya and Agha-Mba, promised to do everything in their powers to safeguard the interests of the party in accordance with the directives of Governor Obiano and the party hierarchy in the state.

The APGA reconciliation meeting in Onitsha North and South Local
Government Areas was attended by many former aspirants and House of Assembly candidates of the party in the forthcoming coming general polls including the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots Media Mobilisation, Mr. Egbuna Amuta among others.
