The State branch of the Nigeria Union of Local government Employees NULGE has joined in commending Governor Willie Obiano for his worker-friendly disposition.
The President of the Union, Comrade Jerry Nnubia, who gave the commendation during a get together in Awka said that NULGE which is forty years old this year, will never relent in the struggle for the welfare of its workers and called for the harmonization of the salaries of both the State and Local government workers.
Comrade Nnubia, who is also the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress promised that labour must ensure that the thirty thousand naira new minimum wage is actualized in the life of the present federal government.
In their speeches, the branch Chairman of NULGE in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Comrade Christopher Alaka and that of Ogbaru, Mrs Chinwe Nwaeseh, appealed to the leadership of the union to attract more dividends to members from the government.
