The Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, today empowered the seven fake blind beggars who were recently arrested on the streets of the state.
Among the gifts presented to the ex-destitutes by the Commissioner were cartons of noodles, bags of rice, laundry products, beverages, and yards of wrappers, as well the sum of fifty thousand Naira to start off their desired small scale business.
The seven women, who operated the business using their kids or rented children and feigning visually impaired, were lately arrested through credible intelligence.
