Staff of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS have received two hundred and fourteen, (25kg) bags of Anambra Rice as part of the State Government Christmas largesse
The Management of ABS also provided each staff with a four Litre container of vegetable oil.
The mood at the ABS Corporate headquarters Awka was joyous as staff of the establishment danced in merriment ahead of the Christmas celebration.
Performing the symbolic presentation of the Christmas goodies to the staff, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the station, Mr Uche Nworah, said it was a fulfillment of Governor Willie Obiano’s promise to public servants since his assumption of office in the state.
Mr Nworah who underscored the governor’s vision of improving the welfare of workers in the state, urged all to remain committed to their duties.
The ABS MD noted that the annual distribution of rice to the State work force is a way to appreciate the them for their tireless efforts for the state and reminded all of the ABS Christmas
party billed for the thirteenth of this month.
A visibly happy Mr Nworah said the party is to thank God for a successful year, hinting that ABS will be launched into digital cable network in order to expand its reach to the outside world.
Responding on behalf of the staff, the Head of Administration ABS Lady Tina Ekenta thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his commitment in providing the enabling environment that promotes harmonious relationship between the government and the civil servants and assured the management of ABS of full commitment of staff in achieving results needed to uplift the brand in all parts of the world.
