A Federal High Court sitting in Awka, yesterday sacked the state chairman of All Progressive Congress party, Mr. Emeka Ibe.
Others affected by the judgment were members of the executive committee of the party in the State.
The sack was sequel to a petition to the court in suit number FHC/AWK/CS/70/2018 by one of the state chairmanship contestants in the party’s congress in May, Mr. Onyi Uzochukwu.
Mr. Uzochukwu had contended that the state chairman, Emeka Ibe was not properly nominated for the Congress having not purchased the form of the party as appropriate.
He asked the court to nullify the Congress and call for a fresh congress.
In his judgment, Justice I. B Gafai, nullified the congress and ordered a fresh state congress for the party in the state.
Reacting, the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Okelo Madukaife, who was affected by the judgment , said the court processes appertaining to the judgment were not served to any of the persons sacked.
He said that the State Executive has not been served with any court process in any High Court matter relating to any subject around their mandate duly conferred on May 19,2018.
Mr. Madukaife added that the Executive will be surprised if the judgment is entered in a matter in which , not being aware it has not defended itself on.
This statement, added, that for now, there is no cause to be alarmed , as they still remain in their duty post, with three years and a half to complete their tenure.
