The Commissioner for Road Infrastructure, Furniture and Maintenance, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor, says Governor Willie Obiano is committed to giving Ndi Anambra durable roads, with designs and markings.

He disclosed this when he led top officials of his Ministry to an inspection tour of some roads in Anambra Central Senatorial District.

Among the roads inspected by the Commissioner were Esther Obiakor dual
carriageway, a three point seven kilometre UNIZIK gate Ifite–Awka-Amansea Road, a three kilometre Ukwuoji Umuenechi Village Ifite Nibo road as well as a two point three GUO road, Adazi Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area.

Speaking shortly after inspecting the roads, Mr  Ifejiofor said that the inspection tour which will cover the three senatorial districts of the state was to implement the mandate giving to them by Governor Obiano to ensure that all contractors working in the State move back to site after the rainy season.

Commissioner Ifejiofor who expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far by the contractors handling the roads he visited, urged the contractors working on State roads to adhere to terms and
conditions of the contracts.

He explained that operation zero potholes aggressively going on in all parts of the state is equally to ensure that Ndi Anambra have  smooth ride around the State during this yuletide.

The project manager handling the GUO road which connects Adazi-Ani and Adazi-Enu communities in Anaocha Local Government Mr Chike Ekwe assured of delivering the project in a record time.
