The famous Nengo Bridge Nteje in Oyi Local Government Area is now open to traffic.

This is in line with Governor Willie Obiano’s promise during his visit to the site on November 16th 2018 , that the bridge will be opened before Christmas.

Works Correspondent Ngozi Obileri was among the inspection team led bythe Commissioner for Works Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor , who certified the bridge fit for traffic.

Among the team that inspected the quality bridge for traffic were the Permanent Secretary Ministry of works, Mr. Emeka Ohuoha, the traditional ruler of Nteje Igwe Rowland Odegbo, and other directors and Engineers in the ministry.

Speaking after inspecting the Bridge, Engineer Ifejiofor appreciated Governor Obiano for fulfilling his promise to put the bridge to use before Christmas.

Engineer Ifejiofor noted that the bridge has saved commuters the stress they go through with the condition of the dilapidated Umunya-Nteje axis of the Enugwu-Onitsha Express road , adding that the remaining work will be completed after christmas.

He appealed to the people of the area to sustain support for APGA, especially in the forth coming general election, noting that a vote for APGA is a continuation of good governance in the state.

On his part, Igwe Odegbo expressed gratitude to Governor Obiano for keeping to his promise, saying that he was the first to notice that the road is open for traffic.

Igwe Odegbo said that opening the road to traffic is one of numerous projects which the Governor is doing, even in the harsh economic condition of the country, highlighting the operation light up
Anambra as one of the major projects that has lifted the spirits of Ndi Anambra.

In their separate reactions, some road users including Messrs Emeka Ikechebelu and Jude Okeke thanked Governor Obiano for what he has done, as they recalled their experience on the road.

Other road users including Reverend Father Cyril Udeguna and Mr. Ndubisi Okwundu were full of praises to the Governor and the Ministry of Works for listening to the yearnings of his people, pledging their unalloyed support to his administration .
