As Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu has urged Nigerians to use the period in building bridges of love and true
reconciliation.

In her Christmas message, Barrister Maduagwu enjoined politicians and religious leaders to be more statesmanlike, law abiding and place greater interest of the country above personal or sectional interests.

The Speaker appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to include in his 2019 New Year broadcast, the immediate reconstruction of all dilapidated federal roads in the Southeast geo-political zone and appoint more people from the zone in his cabinet.

The State number one Lawmaker said that since Jesus Christ preached and ensured peace amongst the people and nations, Christians and non Christians alike should pursue peace at all times and shun acts that could destabilize the country.
