The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC said it has arrested seven suspected vandals in three states of the South-east.
The EEDC’s Head of Communications, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, noted that the suspects were arrested within one month, with the latest on Christmas day.
According to him, the vandals were arrested in Anambra, Enugu and Imo states, while carrying out their nefarious activities.
Mr. Ezeh who listed items recovered from the suspected vandals to include four pieces of single core copper cables, three pieces of five hundred mm cable and two single core copper cable measuring about twelve meters assured that efforts are on by the policemen to arrest other fleeing gang members.
He, however, noted that the suspects have been handed over to the police command in the respective states for proper investigation and possible prosecution.
