Anambra State Government has directed all commuters to make judicious use of the Deltrazin Ultramodern Bus Terminal at Upper Iweka, Onitsha.

In a statement signed by Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Uche Okafor, government cautioned against loading and off-loading as well as other commercial activities on the Upper Iweka axis and on Obodoukwu road.

Mr. Okafor cautioned that defaulters must be brought to book in accordance with specified laws of the state.

It was gathered that the order was one of the measures by the government to ease traffic congestion at the Upper Iweka, so as to ensure free-flow of vehicular movement this season.

Meanwhile road users have commended Governor Willie Obiano for stopping motorists driving against traffic around the Tarzan area, on the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway.

Mrs. Jessica Okigbo, expressed gratitude to Governor Obiano for a job well done I facilitating free flow of traffic to the relief of Ndi Anambra returning for the Christmas celebration.

Prior to yuletide, there has always been frequent build up of traffic jams at Tarzan junction, Nkpor, due to upsurge in the number of road users.

This has been of great concern to people passing the area and anyone plying that road, especially in the evenings, must have encountered the traffic jams on daily basis.

This has no doubt led to so many accidents, especially those moving against traffic.

With recent blockade mounted by Anambra Traffic Control officers, at the Tarzan area, commuters and motorists are now enjoying smooth flow of traffic.
