Anambra State Government has assured of its commitment in bridging the gap between youths and employment opportunities, as part of its administrative agenda.

Governor Willie Obiano who gave the assurance also observed, that the governance of a state was dependent on its youths.

The Governor speaking through Deputy Governor Nkem Okeke, promised to ensure that youths in the state were made capable and productive for a greater country.

This, he noted, would be achieved through the State’s Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy with the idea of training youths and providing seed money as start up funds for their businesses.

The Governor added that the state is partnering with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to access soft loans for individuals to start up businesses.

According to him, young people need opportunities to unleash their talents and creativity saying that successful entrepreneurs are not born, but created.
