Governor Willie Obiano has been given a Chieftancy title as Dike Eji Ejemba by Umunya Community.

The Traditional Ruler of the Community, Igwe Kris Onyekwuluje conferred the title on the Governor during the twenty first Ofala festival of the Community.

Governor Obiano was accompanied to the event by the Cabinet members of Aguleri Kingdom.
Senator Ben Obi, Prince Arthur Eze, Traditional Rulers of various communities, government functionaries, among others who converged on the arena to grace the occasion.

Receiving the title, Governor Obiano appreciated the honour noting that it will spur him to do more, as his administration is already working hard to improve on achievements already on ground .

He called on Ndi Igbo to rally round each other, irrespective of party affiliation, to drive development in the region.

The Traditional Ruler, Igwe Onyekwuluje explained that the title to the Governor is as a result of his people oriented policies that have improved the living conditions of the people, pointing out that his security apparatus has engendered massive development in the State.

Earlier, Senator Ndi Obi who is the Chairman on the occasion, congratulated Igwe Onyekwuluje on the occasion of his Ofala, asking God to bless his reign on the throne.

The Governor thereafter danced the Igba Eye music.
