The traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area, Igwe Ralph Ekpeh has canvassed for proper sensitization of the younger generation on the importance of historical foundation.
Igwe Ekpeh made the call when he led his members of cabinet on a historical visit to Obu Okpala Anakana Ukabia Nri and Museum in Enugwu-Ukwu.
The historical visit was part of activities lined up to mark the Igu-aro festival of Enugwu-Ukwu and Umunri.
Speaking at the site, Igwe Ekpeh appreciated some illustrious members of the town who has contributed immensely to the development and growth of the community, urging them to sustain the gains.
In a speech the Cultural Minister of the town, Chief Jude Ekwunife said the design of the edifice with elephant head, wooden gung and some other artistic drawing is to reflect and reproduce on beliefs that typifies what they had years back.
Chief Ekwunife urged Ndi Igbo across board to think and invest at home saying that it is part of measures to develop their various areas.
Also speaking, the President-General of the community, Chief Bonny Ozo-Nkwoaku pointed out that after the construction of the magnificent Obu and Museum, Cultural Artifacts will be kept there where youths will be visiting as a tourist sites to learn more about their culture and recreation activities.
