The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, retired General John Gbor, has vowed to swiftly defeat the Boko Haram insurgents and stop the herdsmen and farmers clashes in Northern Nigeria if elected into office.

General Gbor who gave this assurance in a recent television interview said his administration would accomplish the project without fear or favour.

He described Boko Haram insurgency as another civil war by misguided youths being sponsored by foreign based Islamic fundamentalist groups.

The APGA Presidential standard bearer maintained that Boko Haram would be easily defeated if necessary logistic support was given to the military to motivate soldiers in battle field carry out their assignments professionally as they did in Liberia and Sierra Leone to end the civil wars in the two West African Countries.

He also said that Nigeria under his watch would work in synergy with neighbouring countries such as Chad, Niger and Cameroun to effectively vanquish and checkmate the Boko Haram menace.

The APGA Presidential candidate also extolled Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State for establishing what he described as “the best security infrastructure” among states in Nigeria as well as the West and Central Africa sub-regions.

General Gbor advised other state Governors in the country to emulate the incumbent Anambra Governor in the provision of good governance and delivery of democracy dividends to the masses, pointing out that APGA has used state to showcase what it would do for Nigeria when it takes over the mantle of leadership after this year’s general elections.
