It was a moment of reminiscence as Old Girls of Girls Secondary School Enugwu Ukwu now Ide Secondary School Enugwu Ukwu, gathered for the first reunion at Enugwu Ukwu Civic Centre.

The Old Girls relived their school days.

The Old Girls from the 1982 to 2017 grandaunds including Ijeoma Uche and Nonye Nwokoye of the ABS play acted some of their experiences with their principal, teachers and their school mates especially during social outings.

Addressing the gathering, one of their teachers, Mrs. Nkiru Anizoba, urged them to criticise constructively without the intent of pulling down so that the light lit is not extinguished.

She charged them to be good wives and mothers for a better society.

In a keynote address, another teacher, Sir Loje Aniago, represented by one of the old girls, Chika Oyekwe, went down memory lane recounting history, successes and challenges.

In a remark, the chairman on the occasion, an old girl and the present Vice Principal Admin of the school, Mrs. Chisom Chikeluo, was full of praises for the initiative and urged the old girls to assist the school and students who are now mixed gender to  achieve their potential.

Earlier, the Coordinator of the reunion , Mrs. Regina Iyke-Uwanuakwa, said she was motivated into bringing her school mates together  by  what she saw other old girls in other schools had been doing.

There was a minute silence for all their late principals and school mates.
