The state government says it will complete all ongoing projects in the state and commence new ones this year.

The state Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke gave the assurance during the sixty-first Igu aro Enugwu-Ukwu and Umunri held at the Obu Umunri, in Enugwu- Ukwu Njikoka Council Area.

Deputy Governor Okeke who explained the commitment of the Obiano led administration towards completing projects commenced in 2018, said it would l execute more infrastructural projects in 2019, and called on the citizenry to remain peaceful and supportive to the present administration.

Deputy Governor Okeke used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra to vote wisely in the forthcoming elections, and to support APGA candidates in the elections, as according to him the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA is for good governance and quality representation.

Earlier in an address, the traditional Ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu community, Igwe Ralph Ekpeh while emphasising on the importance of the Igu Aro ceremony to Ndi Enugwu-Ukwu, charged his subjects to always promote peace and unity for entrenchment of visible development in the town.

Conferment of chieftaincy titles on some illustrious sons of the town, dance by women groups, as well as masquerade displays featured at the event.
