State government has promised to complete the asphalting of the Isekke, Mbosi-Azia-Ukpor Road in Ihiala Local Government Area, before the next rainy season.

Governor Obiano gave the assurance during an inspection visit to the area.

The eleven point-seven-five kilometer road with fourteen kilometer drainage on both sides and a bridge of ten point three meters wide, started in 2017, will be asphalted in five months time.

Governor Obiano mandated the Commissioner for Public Utilities to install street lights on the road on completion.

The Governor urged the people of the area to continue supporting his administration and all APGA candidates in the coming election, promising to sustain tempo of work on all projects to ensure prompt delivery.

The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor said that serious attention is being given to roads and infrastructures across the State.

The contractor handling the project, Chief Philip Eyisi assured of prompt delivery with adequate funding.

Some stakeholders in the area including the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Mmaduagwu, Chief Allen Onyeama, Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba, Member representing Ihiala Two Constituency, Mr. Paschal Agbodike, and his Ihiala One Counterpart, Chudi Udemmadu, said that the Governor is constructing about seven roads in Ihiala Council Area alone, assuring of their support to his administration.

The Governor also commissioned a water project, executed by Mr. Paschal Agbodike as one of his constituency projects.
