President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, says the target of the federation is to help the Super Eagles clinch a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title in Egypt.
The Confederation of African Football Executive Committee last week, voted for Egypt, hosts of the 1959, 1986 and 2006 editions of the competition, to host the first-ever twenty-four nation finals scheduled for June fifteen to July thirteen, and Pinnick said they will ensure the Eagles get the best preparations ahead of the continent’s top football event in their bid to close the gap between
record holders Egypt seven, Cameroon five and Ghana four.
In a statement by NFF, Pinnick said there are so many competitions this year and they intend to, as usual, put their best foot forward in each and every one of them and their target always is to emerge victorious.
However, he noted, that the very big one that they do not want to miss, is the AFCON title saying that they have won it three times but want it for a fourth time, so that they can close the gap with the likes of Egypt and Cameroon.
