Governor Willie Obiano has called for a review of welfare of security operatives by the federal government. The Governor made the call when he received eleven cadet officers from Anambra State on a courtesy call at the Government House, Amawbia.
The Officers recently passed out from the Police Training School, Kano after five years of rigorous training, and came out with honours from different disciplines.
While charging them to be the change in the Police force, Governor Obiano asked them to be ambassadors of The State at their areas of posting.
The Governor who noted that gallantry is important in the force, urged them to work in accordance with police codes, expressing happiness at the crop of educated people that are making their way into the force, observed that improved package and welfare will attract more young people.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar who led the team, expressed confidence that the young officers will represent the State in a better light, and make it proud at their respective posting destinations.
