The remains of Lady Comfort Okonkwo has been committed to mother earth at her husband’s compound Umuokpalaukwu village Ihite, in Orumba South Local Government Area.

Late lady Comfort, who died at the age of seventy six, was until her death a devoted Christian, a Lady of Knight of St Christopher in the Anglican Communion, and the mother of Architect Mike Okonkwo, the Commissioner for Environment.

Her burial service was attended by college of clergymen, notable among them were the Archbishop of the Niger Province of the Anglican Communion, the most reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma, the Bishop of Otukpo Diocese, the Right Reverend David Bello, as well as top government functionaries.

In a burial service in her honour at St James Anglican church, Ihite, the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, the Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor said that it is appointed unto man to die after which judgment follows.

Bishop Ezeofor whose message centered on seven Cs, while urging Christians to remember that God will on the last day read out to them their lives on earth asked them to endeavour to live above sins to gain eternity.

While offering special prayers for the deceased family, Archbishop Chukwuma urged children of the deceased to take consolation in the good Christian life their mother lived and prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest.

After the interment, condolence message by friends and well wishers followed, as many of them took turn to eulogies late lady Comfort.

Top on the list of those that condoled with the deceased family was Prince Arthur Ezeh who went down memory lane on his personal encounter with the deceased, praying God to rest her soul.

Others including the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment Mr. C Don Adinuba, the state Chairman of APGA, Sir Nobert Obi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Nze Uche Nwora, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment, Mr. Stanly Nkwoka, the Managing Director of ACTDA,

Venerable Amechi Okwuosa among many others appreciated the children of the deceased especially the Commissioner Architect Okonkwo, and the Managing Director of Fidelity bank, Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo for taking care of their mother adding that at a time like this, it will only be
proper for them to rally round their own.

Some children of the deceased including Mrs. Joy Ike, Mr. Emmanuel Okonkwo and Architect Mike Okonkwo described their mother as a peace loving woman, who lived for God and all that came in contact with her.
