Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, has congratulated the Flying Eagles of Nigeria on the team’s qualification for the U-20 World Cup in Poland.
The Flying Eagles booked a spot in Poland after edging out hosts, Niger 1-0 in a tightly contested Group “A” encounter at the Seyni Kountche Stadium.
Paul Aigbogun’s lads finished top of Group A with seven points from three games ahead of South Africa who also beat Burundi 1-0 to earn their qualification for the World Cup.
FIFA took to the social media to felicitate with the Flying Eagles on achieving the great feat.
South Africa and Senegal are the other African countries that made it to Poland 2019 billed to hold from twenty-third May to fifteenth June 2019.
