The Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Liaison, Chief Obi-Ochije Modilim has urged eligible voters in Anambra State not to be deterred with yesterday’s postponement of Presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Reacting to the rescheduling of the elections, Chief Ochije Modilim appealed to the electorate to remain calm and troop out en-masse this Saturday to exercise their franchise in the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The Governors aide harped on the need for the electorate to guard their voter card jealously, reminding them that it is the only tool they will use to enthrone God fearing and credible leaders.
Chief Ochije Modilim, charged the Independent National Electoral Commission to live up to its promise of conducting a credible election in the country.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Liaison used the opportunity to call on the citizenry to always protect government facilities in their various areas against vandalisation.
Chief Ochije Modilim urged the people to always support government programmes and policies in addition to paying their tax and other statutory levies promptly to enable the government serve them better.
