The General Manager, Society for Equity, Justice and Peace, SEJUP of the Anglican Communion Dr, Emma Ezenwaji, says the postponement and rescheduling of general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, has affected the nation’s economy.

He stated this while featuring on ABS Radio Audience Participatory Programme, “Issues” in Awka.

Dr Ezenwaji, who said that the poll shift affected the nation’s Gross Domestic Profit called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to ensure that adequate logistics are available before this Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He decried that most people lost access to their various businesses last Saturday, urging the masses not to be discouraged but to ensure that they come out to exercise their franchise during the election.

On his part, the Director, Justice Development and Peace Caritas, JDPC, Awka Catholic Diocese, Reverend Father Simon Anigbogu, urged Nigerians to see this period as an opportunity to elect the candidates of their choice despite some daunting challenges.

Reverend Father Anigbogu, implored the Independent National Electoral Commission, to ensure that the election is free, fair and credible.

Some callers to the Programme including Christian from Onitsha, David Moore from Nanka, Nkwadozuruoke from Enugu among others, condemned the postponement, just few hours to the election.
