The Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, has thrown more light on the recent review of the state’s School calendar saying, that the resumption on Monday eighteenth February will close by Friday twenty-second February.
Prof Omenugha who announced this during an interview said schools will resume again on Monday twenty-fifth February, close on the eight of March, and resume again on eleventh March 2019.
The Commissioner, who noted that it is as result of the change in election dates, therefore charged all Principals, and Head teachers of public and private schools to adjust and adhere strictly to the review dates.
On whether the resumption test will count, Commissioner Omenugha however said teachers should know how best to test their students and pupils to achieve best results.
