Many see Honourable Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo in the mould and image of the great sage and father of modern Nigeria, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe – having been building bridges of inter-regional relationships across the Niger, across political parties, states and communities. Yes, Onyendozi has a heart of gold and Midas touch. Within the last 3 years in the National Assembly, he has done, and continues to do all that he promised his people.
Dozie is a young man who commenced life’s struggles very early in life, having lost his mother so prematurely. Thank God, that providence favoured his efforts with success. And in appreciation to God Almighty and to give back to the society, assist the indigent and needy citizens within and outside Anambra State, he established Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo Foundation.

Through the Foundation, Dozie carries out the now very popular annual free Medical outreach; first of such in the state. It serves nearly one hundred thousand persons with diverse ailments, including surgeries, ophthalmology etcetera. This is done annually in all the 22 communities within his Federal Constituency of Njikoka, Dunukofia and Anaocha Local Government Areas.  Having covered these areas adequately in the last two decades, the outreach has been extended to some communities of neighbouring Awka and Idemili Federal Constituencies.

The Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo Foundation also carries out regular empowerment programmes through scholarships to deserving bright but indigent students, skill acquisition programmes, widowhood support and micro credit programme. He also gives out generating sets, sewing machines, barbing and hairdressing salon equipment, cash for small scale businesses, Keke for commercial transport to youths, Buses, cars, and has assisted reasonable number of citizens of the Federal Constituency get admission into higher institutions of learning, as well as employment.

There is virtually no family within the 22 constituting communities in his constituency that has not benefitted from Dozie’s large heartedness in the last two decades. It was consequent upon this seeking ceaseless flow of milk of human kindness that his people appealed to him to step out to represent them at the National Assembly. He obliged them after years of persuasion. The results abound that he has been doing well.

Dozie Nwankwo was, according to his constituents, not going to Abuja to amass wealth or chase after contracts, but to leverage on the opportunity to touch more lives in diverse positive ways. He has been doing just that. Because, within just three years in the National Assembly, Hon Dozie Nwankwo has transformed the communities within his Federal Constituency with numerous federal projects. Little wonder the urge by them for his reelection so as to attract more projects.

To cap it all, he has chosen to bequeath an imposing Information Technology Centre (ICT) to the constituents, located beside the Njikoka Council Headquarters, at Abagana. Already he has acquired about 200 computer sets for its take off. It will not be surprising if, he, in future, secures approval for this Centre to be upgraded to a tertiary ICT institute. Dozie is certainly a man of vision. He deserves to be reelected, because he has done all he said he was going to do.

Little wonder his popularity and benevolence have continued to soar. This has attracted him praises and accolades from people of all ages and social class, including traditional rulers. Thus, he has been honoured with multiple chieftaincy titles by communities such as: “Akala Aka”, “Nwachinemelu”, “Ife Chukwu Delu” and “Onye Ndozi”, among many others.

Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo is a committed Legislator who is not a bench warmer. He is the House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), whose symbol is the cock; full grown Igbo cock. On Saturday, please take hold of the ballot paper, carefully look for the cock and with the tip of any of your finger, vote for him so that the next four years will be well with us.
