Mrs. Agnes Agbuwa has been committed to mother earth in her late husband’s compound at Umudioka Village, Awka.
Late Agnes, who rested in the Lord at the age of eighty-seven, was the mother of Mrs. Ifeoma Chukwuemeka of Finance Department ABS Awka.
It was an emotional scene for friends and well wishers who came to console the bereaved family.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Charles Nwabueze, re-emphasized the call for all mortals to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior.
While describing death as a necessary end, Chief Nwabueze reminded all of the need to always seek the face of God.
In their separate speeches some of the deceased sons in-law, including Mr. Chucks Nobert, Engineer Peter Okoye and Mr. Benard Chukwuemeka, described their mother in-law as a devoted and quintessential woman of virtue who left indelible legacies on the sand of time.
There was also large turnout of members of Anambra Broadcasting Service who came to sympathize with the family encouraging them to take solace in the good life that their mother lived and pray God to grant her eternal rest.
Responding, some children of the deceased, including Mr. Kenneth Nwanna, and Mrs. Ifeoma Chukwuemeka pledged to uphold the peace, unity and love their mother left behind while adding that their mother lived a life worthy of emulation, they praying God to give her soul in peaceful repose.
